Dear Maureen and Julie, My sincerest sympathies to you, your brother, your spouses, and the younger generation, too. Your Mom was certainly a memorable lady, beautiful, gracious, and talented. I remember learning all about "antiquing" furniture from her. I couldn't wait to try the same thing as soon as I had a home of my own. In fact, I did just that with very happy results - thanks to your Mom! I hope you take comfort in knowing the pleasure and pride your Mom took in both of you - so obvious to all of us! Love to everyone - Camille

Dear Micky, Mike and Family,

We were sorry to hear about your Mother's/Grandmother's/Great-Grandmother's death on this past Thanksgiving morning. Chris Murtagh contacted us after she read the obituary in the Times Union Saturday.

We met Ann just once when she was residing at the assisted living facility that we were looking into as a potential place for Marty's Mother, Cornelia, to live in when she could no longer live alone.

Ann was a gracious and lovely person who made us feel welcome in her room. She was certainly an elegant spokes-person for the assisted living facility where she lived the day that we met her. She endeared herself to us further that day by speaking very well of our daughter, Tanith, and of course, of Michael, as well.

We know Ann will be missed by all who knew her (however briefly).

Our prayers are with all of you.

Love & Blessings,
Marcia & Marty Pickands

Maureen, Julie, and Michael,

Your mother was an important part of my youth, and I remember her fondly--the way she laughed with such delight, her special talents in maintaining a beautiful home, and the ever present feeling of welcome that she extended to me. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers on Monday when you celebrate her life. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
